The Questions That Make a Life

For more than a decade, entrepreneur and Untangle podcast host Patricia Karpas has explored one enduring question with hundreds of thought leaders: What does it mean to life well?

What she discovered is that a meaningful life isn’t built by collecting the right answers.

It’s built by asking better questions.

In her new book, Karpas distills the wisdom of more than 400 conversations into a refreshingly honest companion for navigating the strange, messy, beautiful experience of being human. More than a journal and more than a self-help book, these thoughtful prompts and reflections help you tap into the best version of yourself. And, along the way, discover what matters most to YOU.

“This is the kind of book that doesn’t tell you how to live but helps you discover your own answers.” Fran Hauser, Bestselling Author of Myth of The Nice Girl.

“A beautiful Invitation to pause, reflect, and remember who you truly are.” Koshin Paley Ellison, Author of Wholehearted.

“A wise, warm and deeply human companion for anyone navigating the messiness of life.” Elisha Goldstein , PhD, Author of Tiny Shifts.

“This is more than a book-It’s a conversation with your best self.” Dr. Shelby Harris, Author of The Women’s Guide to Overcoming Insomnia.

Ask Questions, Tell a Story, Leave a Legacy.

In addition to interviewing guests on the Untangle Podcast, Patricia loves interviewing real humans, with heartfelt stories. In 2020, just as Covid slithered its way into our lives, Patricia began interviewing Trish Elkins, a then 43 yr old woman with a genetic, neurodegenerative illness called Corticobasal Syndrome, similar to ALS. Trish, accomplished, courageous and beautiful inside and out, shared her stories with a rich authenticity that revealed her heart and soul as the illness slowly robbed her of all movement. The humanity beneath her suffering was palpable. Tender. The interviews continued for two years, and evolved into a little book that shares Trish’s story with all of us.

Questions lead to Stories. Stories leave a legacy. What will yours be?
